Doom II RPG mobile shooter review

Hell on earth again, and this is no joke! DOOM II RPG for iOS, the sequel to id software’s popular turn-based mobile game Doom RPG, awaits you.

The Doom II RPG storyline

For some unknown reason, a mysterious distress call summons your team of two hardened Marines and a young scientist to Union Aerospace’s research facility on Earth’s moon, but you are ill-prepared for what lies ahead. Hell itself has taken over the station as well as its inhabitants. Everything around is swarming with zombie monsters and demonic creatures – they kill people and take their souls. All your people are dead. Scientists from different countries have teamed up against you, and they’re not going to stop there. You shouldn’t even trust the facility’s AI. You are constantly being hunted. You will have to fight to survive, and try to stop the invasion, and discover the truth – by any means available.

Game characters and gameplay.

You’ll be given three different characters to choose from, and you’ll fight hordes of bloodthirsty monsters – it’s Littlefinger, Cacodemon or Revenant.

You must interact with other survivors during the invasion to learn about your surroundings and solve problems, but beware…not everyone around you can be trusted!

Take advantage of a variety of lethal weapon types, from the classics to the latest, such as the super shotgun and BFG. To protect yourself against attacks from your enemies, take control of a sentry robot that will destroy them from out of sight. If you want to hit them square in the head, zoom in with your optical sniper rifle.

Upgrade your character and weapons in Doom

Use the experience points you get for killing monsters in the game to build up your character’s power level. To boost your skills even further, use treadmills, armour repair stations or target shooting simulators. Are you lacking an edge in combat? Use nano-drinks to boost your abilities, such as health regeneration and immunity to fire, toxic weapons or extra speed! Use the vending machines to get what you need from the corpses of defeated monsters!

Look for ways to bypass the security system and hack into it! To do so, you have to aim your sniper scope using the accelerometer. Use your screen clicks to explore your surroundings. The game has an option to fight with other players or navigate through intuitive menus and communicate with other characters!
